19 April 2009

I tried to take light from the Light
which Darkness cannot dim.
The darkness was complete enough
to hold a sinner in regret; hide my longing.
But the veiled and twinkling mystery
danced its way across watery vision,
nimbused by tears, grief
I cannot lay down while the darkness persists.
I need light to find the foot of the cross,
and the Savior.
