The sweetest grief
I ever knew:
This life has naught to do with me,
but rather, all to do with You,
the space You opened,
held for me,
within eternal Reality...
all for mercy,
nay, for grace,
nay again, for love...
like a veil of lace
obscuring the last remnants
of evening twilight.

I know a lady - all her heart is fair
I tell her as much as my feelings dare
she has opened her soul for all to see
and made a better human out of me
she has talent to burn the sun
and, lord help us all, she is not done!

(well, well done poetess!)

George MacDonald

"Home is ever so far away in the palm of your hand, and how to get there it is of no use to tell you. But you will get there; you must get there; you have to get there. Everybody who is not at home, has to go home."
